Thanks to Lt Dark Ring for the Jade Cactus nerf stats, the artwork at 12:47 and for pointing out my mistake at 7:17 where I said the Dandelion can "insta kill some *plants* "

PVZ heroes honestly belongs in S tier for the plants vs zombies games. It has a massive community, maybe even the same size as the PVZ 2 community. Really fun game.

Another one is Magnet shroom, it basically doesn't have any targets in all of PVZ2 putside of Bucketheads and cheesing a few Punk Zombie levels in NMT while in PVZ1 it wasn't amazing but it basically removes a giant chunk of HP from like half of the actually threatening zombies in that game

I very much agree with that, although magnet shroom was sometimes useful in PvZ2 for dealing with knight zombies in dark ages.

@@Gloom_Shroom_Gaming oh yeah late dark ages is practically designed around you having magnet shroom to the point that it feels like a gigantic hassle of knight spam to beat without it. It's among the most lock-and-key design ass things in this game and it's lame as sh*t, but legally speaking it counts as magnet shroom doing something so yeah that's cool

It’s really sad to see that no one cared about boss mode. It was my favorite aspect of the first garden warfare and I was really upset to see that it wasn’t in 2. I think the mode had a lot of potential but because everyone hated it, no one really remembers it anymore😢

Worst downgrade has to be Repeater and Laser Bean from GW1-2, they ended up completely ceasing to exist! At least the potted fire and ice/snow peas lived on in Story mode and obviously their prominent playable Peashooter variant counterparts, the former 2 were thrown in the nearest singularity with not that much notice about their failure to keep going.

In my opinion I think that scuba soldier should not be used for his gimmick more for the fact that he's basically a diet tank commander with the splash to make up for it and a special bonus that could be considered just a little tack on the side because let's be honest who actually uses scuba soldier as a support soldier to help your teams locate enemies I think no one thanks to the tags that the game already has by default

Yeah I don't see many people rating Scuba because of his gimmick, it's just a fairly pointless attribute he has, especially since it comes with a Sonar upgrade

Garlic becomes quite decent in PVZ Heroes and many other PVZ Heroes entries were not included including Kernel Corn and Spikeweed, but I guess they aren't very remarkable.

I love how he remembered that Cherry is in GW1 in a "game mode" which no one plays but didn't remember that scaredy is there as a summonable which he also talks about

Puff shroom is actually good if you have primal peashooter and wintermelon.
Puff shroom - good early game defense due no sun to spend and a bait in late game for gargantuar when hes starting to swing his weapon
Primal peashooter - knockback zombies(effective if you have 5 primal in every lane)

another example of unfair nerf is sea shroom in pvz 2 which got the same lifespan as puff shroom

Mid Heroes player here:
Pea pod is not amazing but is a decent pick in budget and pea decks (also seen it in tempo but they must have smoked weed)
Best option is to play it after a podfather or turn 1 if the opponent summons a zombie

Imo I think peapod actually got an upgrade in pvz2 there was no point of using him as he was expensive and you were better off ramping to better plants like winter melon and coconut cannon and while I don't care about him in pvzh he is good for budget players there

Soldier feels MUCH better to me, especially with his upgrade that gives him ammo for kills, which is pretty OP in PVE

No it's very meh upgrade try the actual ammo upgrade that cost 2 it's way better and if you want mobility use rocket leap with and if you want more DPS upclose use rapid fire (don't stop shooting or you ll reset your rate of fire you must empty your 58 clip to assure get the most value)

Ice Pea got hit hard from PvZ1 to PvZ3 (I never used him in PvZ2 for obvious reasons). I think you should have included him on the list.
You should have also included Rose from GW2 to BFN because trying to beat solo ops with her was one of the worst things I have ever done.

I could see Snow Pea from PVZ2 to PVZ3 being a contender, but Snow Pea's buff in PVZ2 makes him hard to decipher, especially when factoring in the shooters. I've used her a bit on PVZ3 and she seems to be a direct upgrade of reg Peashooter.
Rose is quite poor on GW2 IMO, but yeah playing her on Mount Steep the other day was painful.
The transitions between different game genres were just to make things more interesting; I did say in Dandelion's entry that a plant wouldn't automatically be considered just for being in a less central role. it's also how they compare to others. i.e. Peashooter is arguably better on the shooters since even the stock Pea holds his own and isn't outclassed as much as on the tower defence games
